Kibbutz Yotvata is on the road to Eilat  about 40 kilometers from Israel's southernmost city.

The name Yotvata is mentioned in the Bible  in Deuteronomy Chapter 10, Verse 7 as one of the way stations of the Children of Israel in the desert as they wandered from Egypt to the land of Canaan.
"... and from Gudgodah to Yotvata, a land of rivers of waters."

The largest production branch in Yotvata is the dairy. Its base is the cowsheds which were built despite the experts warning that it would be impossible to raise a dairy herd in the climate of the Arava. In spite of that the cowsheds of Yotvata are among the finest in the country. The Yotvata Dairy was built in 1964 adjacent to the cowshed.

The exceptional conditions under which Kibbutz Yotvata labors make life there difficult; however they also give rise to exceptional possibilities which do not exist in other regions of the country.

Our company Kor Az Ltd. is involved in regular consultations and has designed a number of cooling facilities and air conditioning systems at the dairy.The crowning achievement of the design is the finished goods hall which receives all the milk products of the dairy and stores them at a uniform controlled temperature until they are shipped to markets all over the country.

The cooling systems operate on Freon and glycol and are controlled by a modern, central computer.
