Strauss Group, Israel's second-largest food and beverage company, has become, over the past few years, an international corporation with a steadily growing part of its business conducted outside of Israel. At the end of the 1990's Strauss built a new dairy in the north at Achihod which is one of the most modern and sophisticated plants of its type in the world. The production lines in the new dairy are completely automated and designed to be friendly to the environment.

Our company Kor Az Ltd. designed and supervised the installation of all the cooling and air conditioning systems for the   dairy.

The systems included, to mention just a few:An installation for storing energy based on an ice pool, rapid cooling devices with propylene glycol, air conditioning for the production halls, freezers for storage of frozen raw materials and air conditioning systems for the office buildings.

A facility for energy storage based on an energy bank which uses energy during off-peak times when the cost of electricity is cheaper thus reducing the annual electricity expenses.

Apparatus for rapid cooling of products integrated into an automated warehouse with a modern robot where the whole process of rapid cooling is automatically controlled without the touch of a human hand.

The room for finished goods is a space equipped with an automated robot which is about 24 meters tall.

The cooling systems in this room are unique and keep the temperature uniform for the entire height of the room with a 1°c divergence.
