SIEMENS – SOLEL FACTORIES

The technology of Solel enables the conversion of the sun's energy into useable thermal energy and then into clean electricity. This is achieved through a system of parabolic mirrors which concentrate the solar energy into a central liquid filled pipe. The heated liquid is circulated and further heated by receivers, and the heat is then dispersed to an arrangement of heat exchangers which produce steam.  The steam activates an electric turbine for the creation of electricity which is transmitted to the electricity networks. The central steam installation is computerized and enables the optimal reception of the solar energy by   automatic adjustments of a   system of parabolic mirrors. All the sun's rays, from sunrise to sunset are trapped and converted to usable energy. Solel, using this technology has met with tremendous commercial success and continues to develop and increase its efficiency, reducing the cost of the energy it creates.

Siemens - Solel Solar Systems Ltd. is the world leader in developing and implementing thermo-solar technology for the creation of clean, renewable energy. Their unique solutions set the world standard for solar power stations and high temperature receptors. The aim of Solel is to aid the private and public sectors to reduce their dependency on fossil fuels by supplying clean, renewable energy at a competitive price.

Solel is now building as a joint venture with Sacyr-Vallehermoso (a large Spanish concern in the field of infrastructure) three solar power stations in Spain with an over-all output of 150 megawatts, at a cost of US$890 million. Solel also supplies the advanced thermo-solar receptors it has designed and produced to other solar power stations.

Solel was founded in 1992 and in 2010 was sold to Siemens.

Siemens is convinced that its technology is the technology of the future in the field. Among all the types of renewable energy, thermal solar energy has a higher chance of changing the rules of the game. If it is implemented widely, it will achieve a double objective:  to reduce global warming and to let many countries, including Israel, be less dependent on foreign energy sources.

The demand for the Siemen's technology is growing constantly, and the potential exists for turning solar thermal energy into the first and foremost source of energy. The proven technology of Solel plays and will continue to play a central role in meeting the great demand for this type of energy.

Our firm Kor Az Ltd. designed     and continues to plan all the systems for cooling, drying, and climate control in the different factories in the area of Beit Shemesh and among others our designs include:cooling systems, a furnace,  achieving super pressure in the halls, ventilation for furnaces and tubs, cooling for hydrogen furnaces, a system for conveying and supplying H2, H2O, CO2,  Butane, expulsion of gases,  preventing disruption in the movement of the welding flame and recovery - and other unique solutions for this extraordinary factory.
