Dairies

The refrigeration systems we have designed for dairies are specialized systems and include: energy retaining facilities, fast cooling of dairy products, refrigeration of the finished goods rooms, and maintaining a precise fixed temperature.

• The energy retaining systems are based on ice storage. The ice storage is done in the times of day when electricity prices are low, and utilizes the latent heat when electricity prices are high.
• Dairies are designed with different, controlled pressure regulation, and this issue is given our stringent attention.

• o The Strauss Dairy at the Bar Lev Industrial District
• o The Yotvata Dairies
• o The Harduf Dairy
• o The Tara Dairy at the Noam Industrial District (in progress)
• When planning these dairies, several parameters which are unique to the industry have been taken into account:
• 1. Ice storage facilities, which are designed for constant operation at a fixed temperature and for saving energy.
• 2. Air cleanliness and air filtering.
• 3. Energy utilization and air filtering.
• 4. Residual energy utilization and recycling.
• 5. Non stop operation.
• The Tnuva, Strauss and Tara dairies are large scale facilities handling hundreds of thousands of liters of milk daily.
• The Harduf Dairy is organic and provides organic products.

The Alon Tavor Dairy is equipped with one of the largest ice storage facilities in the world.
