The Angel Bakeries were founded in 1927 in Jerusalem.

The Angel Bakeries are Israel's largest and leading bakeries. The company has other bakeries in addition to the one in Jerusalem - Achdut in Tel Aviv, Eilat in Jaffo, Oranim in Kfar HaHoresh and Angel in Netivot.

The company has four bakeries for baking bread and other products -rolls, pita and the like, as well as a plant for cakes and pastries in Beit Shemesh.

The company has a chain of more than 30 stores spread out around the country which sell the company's baked goods.

Kor Az planned and supervised various project for the bakeries including:

• A freezer system for pitas.

• A cooling system for consumable water.

• Cool Rooms at +4°c

• Refrigeration chambers at -18°c

• Packing areas at +16°c

• Different kinds of ventilation systems

All systems were planned to work with green refrigeration and in many instances refrigeration systems using ammonia were converted to Freon in order to meet the Home Front Command's environmental protection licensing conditions.
